Susan Morozowich, LMSW
She/Her
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
I am Susie Rigas-Morozowich, the Founder and CEO of TelebehavioralHealth.US, an organization I established in 2016 to tackle the growing mental health provider shortage and improve access to quality behavioral health care across the country. With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have focused my career on delivering innovative, patient-centered care and leveraging technology to overcome barriers in the mental health field.
In addition to my work with TelebehavioralHealth.US, I am also a co-founder of the National Alliance of Mental Health Professionals (NAMHP). NAMHP is dedicated to supporting mental health providers through advocacy, education, and collaborative efforts aimed at advancing the profession. Through NAMHP, I work closely with leaders and clinicians to develop solutions that improve workforce conditions and promote equitable access to mental health care across the United States.
My journey in mental health began after earning my Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2004. Since then, I’ve provided clinical services in a variety of settings, specializing in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Informed Care. The insights gained from my direct clinical work inspired me to launch TelebehavioralHealth.US, which now serves patients in eleven states through a fully digital care model. I was an early adopter of the American Telemedicine Association’s “Direct-to-Consumer” telehealth model, overcoming significant regulatory and reimbursement challenges to deliver a service that has become essential to modern healthcare.
At TelebehavioralHealth.US, I focus on expanding access to mental health care while also addressing critical workforce issues by offering flexible, higher-paying roles for clinicians, I am committed to creating a healthier, more sustainable workforce for our industry.
Education and professional development are also key pillars of my career. I have spent years as an Adjunct Instructor at Grand Valley State University, training and mentoring clinicians in evidence-based practices. My commitment to professional education extends to my ongoing work with NAMHP, where we champion the use of best practices and support the next generation of mental health professionals.
When I’m not leading my teams or working on new initiatives, I enjoy skating the beautiful trails of Michigan on my Moxi skates, an activity that keeps me grounded and allows me to maintain a healthy balance between work and life.
If you’re interested in collaborating with TelebehavioralHealth.US or the National Alliance of Mental Health Professionals, I would love the opportunity to connect and explore how we can work together to expand access to care and improve the mental health profession.
